Our team of experienced attorneys, is led by Stephanie A. Roman, Managing Partner. The Roman team works closely with lenders, investors, buyers, sellers, real estate agents and 1031 exchange companies. Our team understands the urgency and importance of each individual transaction.

Stephanie A. Roman
Partner, Lead Counsel
Stephanie A. Roman is a native Houstonian who has been helping clients navigate legal challenges for over three decades. She represents individuals and businesses in commercial real estate, business disputes, and personal injury matters.
Stephanie works closely with her clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including buying, selling, and developing property. She also advises business owners on day-to-day operations and helps resolve disputes when they arise. Whether handling a complex transaction or a contested matter, Stephanie focuses on finding practical, efficient solutions that help her clients resolve disputes.
Clients value Stephanie’s responsiveness, clear communication, and ability to break down complicated legal issues into straightforward guidance. She approaches every matter with careful attention and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome whether it is a business or personal injury matter.
In addition to her legal practice, Stephanie serves as a fee attorney with Texas Lone Star Title Company, giving her added insight into the title and closing process.
Stephanie is licensed to practice in Texas and Utah. She is an active member of the Houston Bar Association, including its Real Estate and Litigation Sections, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. She has also served on the Legislative Committee for the Real Estate Division of the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section.

Firm Administrator
Marlene Scanlin brings over 40 years of experience in the legal field, having built her career as a dedicated paralegal before joining Roman Law Firm, P.C. in 2007. Today, she serves as the Firm Administrator, where she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations and client experience. Marlene has extensive knowledge in real estate law, loan transactions, and personal injury matters, providing valuable insight and support to both attorneys and clients. She is deeply committed to delivering exceptional customer service and believes that every client deserves clear communication, professionalism, and personal attention. Marlene takes pride in ensuring each client receives the highest level of care throughout their legal proceedings.

Sharon Monk
Part-time Legal Counsel
Sharon Mork has been a longtime resident of Houston, Texas, and brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate to Roman Law Firm, P.C. She began her career as a real estate paralegal before expanding her expertise in the commercial title insurance industry, where she served as both a senior escrow officer and commercial underwriter.
Sharon works part-time for Roman Law Firm, PC and the firm’s clients, providing valuable support across a wide range of real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, and development of property. In addition, she assists with business disputes and personal injury matters. Sharon is known for her depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal matters with confidence.

Phoenix Brown
Legal Counsel
Phoenix Brown is a native Houstonian with strong ties to the community. Although he is new to the legal field, he has over ten years of experience in case management. With his impeccable skillset, Phoenix brings a strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a deep commitment to advocating for clients during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Phoenix’s work is grounded in a practical understanding of the legal system and a passion for helping individuals access the support and justice they deserve. Known for being responsive, organized, and solution-oriented, Phoenix works closely with attorneys and clients to ensure that every case is handled with care and precision.
Outside of the office, Phoenix is committed to community impact and is actively interested in initiatives that support youth development and access to resources. He also enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his four fur-children.
